Ways to Give

How Can I Give To Main Street UMC?

CASH & CHECKS:

Cash and checks are the most common way donations are received by the church.  MSUMC sends out giving statements to ensure we are properly recording any gifts that have been given.

AT WORSHIP:

Sanctuary: Drop your check or cash in the offering plate as it is passed during the Sanctuary service.  Cash envelopes may be found in the back of the pew.

Fellowship: Drop your check or cash into one of the baskets near the altar during communion at the Fellowship service. Envelopes may be found in the red attendance folder.

Or Mail:

You may mail your check at your convenience to the following address:

Main Street UMC
PO Box 1009
Hattiesburg, MS 39403

BANK BILL PAY:

Do you already use online banking? You can use your bank’s bill pay feature to send Main Street UMC a check automatically on a specific date. Simply set up a payee called Main St UMC, enter the address (PO Box 1009, Hattiesburg, MS  39403), and schedule a payment to send a check to the church in the same way you would pay any other bill. You can schedule a recurring payment or enter a new one each time you are ready to give.

AUTOMATIC BANK DRAFT:

Automatic Bank Draft (ABD) is the easiest, most cost-effective giving option for both you and the church.  With ABD, you can reinforce your commitment to give your tithes and offerings to God before anything else.  One easy step each year guarantees that the church will receive your gifts on a regular basis. If you would like to give through a monthly or twice-a-month electronic funds transfer from your bank account, please call Donna Runnels, financial manager, 601-582-5557.

ONLINE GIVING:

It’s easy to give online using your checking account. Just click Give Online or click the Online Giving link in the site navigation on the right.

YEAR-END GIFTS:

Some individuals like to make special year-end gifts to support our ministry.  Please remember: all year-end gifts must be received in the church office or postmarked by December 31 to be deducted in the present tax year.

PLANNED GIVING:

Planned or deferred giving allows you to make a gift commitment to MSUMC but delays delivery of the final benefit of the gift until a later time.  Donors who make planned gifts to the church may receive tax and/or other income benefits.  To learn more, see the Planned Giving button to the right. (NOTE to Rare Design—Please make a button that links to Planned Giving tab to the right)

If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact Donna Runnels, Financial Manager, at the church office: 601-582-5557
