PRAYERS & BLESSINGS Thank you from our Boy Scouts!

“Live Scouting’s Adventure” was the theme for the National Scout Jamboree held recently at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia. Malcolm Boykin, D.J. Cooley, Nathan Hall, Steven Stewart and Stephen Willis, Boy Scouts of Troop 50 from Aldersgate; and Senton and Bill Granberry of Troop 93 at Parkway Heights UMC, were part of Jamboree Troop 4125 from the Pine Burr Area Council. The trip began on a bus from Camp Tiak to Nantahala Outdoor Center for rafting. The group then headed on to the Summit and Jamboree. For ten exciting days, the scouts participated in merit badge classes, rope courses, rafting, zip lining, crafts and patch trading. The scouts heard from a variety of speakers including survival trainer Creek Stewart and President Donald Trump. Jamboree concluded with a concert and a tremendous fireworks show, and all scouts returned home with many happy memories. Many thanks to Ron Hegwood and Main Street UMC members who made it possible for the Troop 50 scouts to attend.
