Todd Owen Watson

Lead Pastor

Joining the ministry team in July 2014, Todd sensed a call to Main Street because of the diversity of ministries and ministry possibilities found within and around this community of believers.  Todd’s work within the church includes preaching, teaching, congregational hospitality, pastoral care, financial support, staff support, and ministry development.  He is a Mississippi delta boy from Greenwood where his parents still reside. Todd has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mississippi College (management focus) and a Master of Divinity from Yale University Divinity School (ethics focus).  Todd has served in college and high school student ministry settings, has been a high school teacher, was a development director for a non-profit for abused/neglected children and youth, and was on the pastoral staff of several previous churches.  Todd loves foreign and domestic travel, gardening, is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction, is a coffee and tea “fiend,” and loves almost any kind of ethnic cuisine.

“Church can and should be the instrument of transformation for the lives of its members and everyone they meet.  I am honored to be joining your congregation in the journey you are making together and singly.  May God bless our path as we endeavor to be God’s people in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and around the world.”
