Aislinn Kopp

   webAssociate Pastor

Aislinn joined the Main Street Staff in 2015 as her first appointment after graduating from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. Originally from Houlka, Mississippi, she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics at Mississippi State with minors in mathematics and marketing. Her call to ministry is rooted in the church’s engagement in its community after seeing the impact a local church could have in the face of generational poverty, mass unemployment, economic and racial oppression, and natural disaster. She chose to complete her MDiv at Wesley Theological Seminary where she could study as a Missional Fellow, focusing on what ministry means when we believe that we are meeting God where God is already working in the world. While in seminary, Aislinn interned with a church where she was able to gain experience in church planting and church partnerships (with non-profits for the DC un-housed population and human trafficking).
Aislinn felt called to ministry at Main Street after learning of the church’s conscious decision to remain a downtown church and their desire to partner with community organizations for the work of the Kingdom of God. She is glad to be home in Mississippi, and could not be more excited for the home that Hattiesburg is sure to become.
Aislinn enjoys coffee, cooking, gardening, and tabletop board games. If you can’t find her, she is probably at the farmer’s market or the produce aisle picking up whatever is in season. As she settles in at Main Street and in Hattiesburg, she is always happy to go grab a cup of coffee with someone new!
